Speaker Gaddam Prasad highlights major development initiatives in Vikarabad

 Telangana State Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar visited Mominpet Mandal in Vikarabad Constituency today to participate in various development programs.

Speaker Prasad Kumar highlighted that during the previous government's ten-year rule, no funds were allocated for development activities in Vikarabad Constituency. He mentioned that while the previous government laid foundation stones and issued GOs on paper, no actual funds were released. He took those GOs to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who approved the necessary funds.

Since the new government took office, Rs 950 crores have been allocated for development and welfare activities in Vikarabad constituency in the first year alone. Rs 250 crores have been sanctioned for Panchayati Raj roads, and Rs 100 crores from NREGS funds have been used to lay CC roads. Proposals have been sent to the central government for permissions to construct four major roads from the constituency with an estimated cost of Rs 10,000 crores, he added.

An integrated residential school with an investment of Rs 250 crores is being established in Vikarabad to ensure children from all communities study together. Efforts are being made to bring water to the region through the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Speaker Prasad Kumar announced the approval of 12,000 Indiramma houses for Vikarabad Constituency, aiming to ensure everyone has their own home. He secured Rs 250 crores for Panchayati Raj roads and Rs 44.56 crores for development and welfare activities in Mominpet Mandal last year.
