In a significant development for Andhra Pradesh's IT and economic sectors, Sify Technologies Chairman and Managing Director Raju Vegesna met with State Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, at his residence in Undavalli. During their discussions, Minister Lokesh extended an invitation to Sify Technologies to invest in the state and contribute to employment generation for local youth.
Raju Vegesna, whose company ranks among India's Fortune 500 firms, detailed Sify Technologies' extensive operations across various cities in India. He highlighted that the company provides data services to several corporations, banks, and businesses in North America, the United Kingdom, and Singapore. As part of its expansion plans, Sify is exploring investment opportunities in Andhra Pradesh.
The discussions between Minister Lokesh and Raju Vegesna focused on setting up a mega data center and a cable landing station in Visakhapatnam. Expressing keen interest in investing in the state, Raju Vegesna conveyed his willingness to collaborate with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) to strategize further steps.
