Scores join Congress Party

Several BJP and BRS leaders and workers from Ward No. 7 of Bhoothpur Municipality joined the Congress party on Monday. The joining programme was held at the residence of MLA Madhusudhan Reddy in Damagnapur under the leadership of Bhoothpur Municipal Chairman Balakoti. In the presence of the MLA, they joined the Congress party by wearing Congress scarves.

The new entrants said they were attracted by the development and welfare programmes being undertaken by MLA Madhusudhan Reddy in the Devarakadra Assembly constituency. They stated that development and public welfare in the state can be achieved only under the Congress government. Speaking on the occasion, Municipal Chairman Balakoti said the Congress government is moving forward by giving priority to public welfare and development.

He said public confidence in the Congress party is increasing due to the welfare schemes being implemented by the government and the development programmes being undertaken. Councillors Padma Narendra, Lalu Naik and Latha, along with leaders Machender, Matti Anand, Pawan Kumar, M.D. Mannan and others, participated in the programme.
