Sandeep Saroj’s VETA launched

Shree Radha Damodar Studios (SRD Studios) and ETV WIN Originals have launched their third production, VETA, with a pooja ceremony. Directed by debutant Ashok Kotipalli, the film stars Sandeep Saroj and Satwika Jampa in the lead roles.

The title and first look introduce a raw and rustic tale set in the heartlands of the Godavari region, blending love, pain and commercial action.

Konidela Nagendra Babu attended the ceremony as chief guest and handed over the script to the team. K.S. Ravi Kumar performed the clap, while Sai Rajesh, SKN, VN Aditya and producer Phani Adapaka switched on the camera. Directors Meher Ramesh and Yadhu Vamsee, along with music director Anudeep Dev, were also present.

K.S. Ravi Kumar said Ashok Kotipalli had narrated the story to him over WhatsApp about 15 days earlier, impressing him with his detailed and emotional narration. He said the film’s line was different and praised his character, while keeping details under wraps due to the suspense surrounding it.

Creative producer at ETV WIN, Tanmai N, said VETA marked the second project featuring Sandeep Saroj for ETV and the first for SRD Studios. He said the team was exploring a genre expected to connect with Telugu audiences. Producer Phani Adapaka said VETA, like Committee Kurrollu, has a village backdrop and strong emotional appeal but is also a commercial entertainer. Impressed by Ashok’s writing, he said the team felt the story had to be made.

He revealed that Sandeep Saroj would be seen in a completely new avatar as a commercial hero, featuring aggressive action and major fight sequences.

Sandeep said the title VETA was chosen because it perfectly suited the story and not merely because it had been associated with an earlier Chiranjeevi film. He said the meaning behind the film’s “hunt” would be revealed in future updates. Satwika Jampa described the project as an important step in her career and expressed excitement about working with the team.

Ashok Kotipalli thanked the producers and ETV WIN team for giving him the opportunity to make his directorial debut and promised more updates soon. Produced by Phani Adapaka and Jayalakshmi Adapaka under SRD Studios and ETV WIN Originals, VETA also features K.S. Ravi Kumar, Rajeev Kanakala, Raghu Babu, Ravindra Vijay, Prabhavathi, Pramodini and Vikas Vasishta in key roles. The technical team includes cinematographer Wajid Baig, music director Chaitan Bharadwaj, action choreographer A. Vijay, production designer Arvind Mule and editor Raghavendra Thirun.
