A long-abandoned Irrigation Department Inspection Bungalow (IB) at the Maneru Camp in Narmala village has fallen into a severely dilapidated condition, raising serious safety concerns among local residents. The building, which has reportedly remained unused and neglected for nearly 30 years, is now on the verge of collapse. Villagers fear that the crumbling structure could lead to a serious accident if immediate action is not taken.

The situation is particularly alarming as an Anganwadi centre is located adjacent to the abandoned building. Residents say young children frequently play in the surrounding area, increasing the risk of a mishap should any part of the structure collapse. Locals claim they have repeatedly brought the issue to the attention of the authorities, but no action has been taken so far. Parents and villagers are urging officials to demolish the unsafe structure before it causes any loss of life or injury.

Narmala Sarpanch Rajaboyina Archana appealed to the authorities to act without delay.

"The building has remained unused for years and has deteriorated into a dangerous condition. With an Anganwadi centre located right next to it, officials should immediately remove the dilapidated irrigation building before any accident occurs," she said.
