Rs 327 Cr redevelopment works at Nampally railway station underway

General Manager of South Central Railway, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, conducted a detailed inspection of the on-going redevelopment works at Hyderabad Deccan railway station (Nampally) on Saturday. He was accompanied by the Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division, Dr. Gopalakrishnan R, along with other senior railway officials.

The General Manager reviewed the progress of redevelopment works being undertaken under the Amrit Station scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 327.27 crore. Divisional officers presented the upcoming station development plans through a detailed PowerPoint presentation.

During the inspection, Sanjay Kumar Srivastava directed officials to expedite the works to ensure timely completion of the project and early availability of enhanced passenger amenities. He also emphasized the need for comprehensive measures to minimize inconvenience to passengers during the execution of major infrastructure upgrades.

Subsequently, the General Manager inspected the Carriage Maintenance Depot located on the western side of the station. He reviewed the working conditions and facilities available to staff and interacted with officers and employees to assess safety practices being followed at the depot.
