Metro India News | Sircilla

Launching a sharp attack on BRS Working President K T Rama Rao in his assembly constituency of Sircilla, Telangana Chief Miniser A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday vowed to breach the former's bastion in the next assembly poll in 2028.

Though Rama Rao represented Sircilla for long, why the lives of handloom weavers and those who migrated to Gulf countries in search of livelihood have not changed, he asked. Reddy, who appealed to the people of Sircilla to elect a Congress candidate in the next assembly election, due in 2028, assured that the Congress MLA, if elected, would become a minister. Congress workers would blast Rama Rao's fortress in Sircilla like cannons, he said.

Dares KTR on a debate

Addressing a public meeting here after attending development programmes, Reddy said he is "he is ready to change his name" if he is not able to show five star hotels near Hitech City in Hyderabad in the name of the BRS Working President and his close family members. "KTR, if you have guts, seek white paper on your assets and the assets of your father (BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao), Santosh Rao and Harish Rao (both BRS leaders and KCR's nephews) and other relatives," he said. Rama Rao is known as KTR.

Reddy, who earlier accused the BRS leadership of "looting" lands worth Rs one lakh crore when the party was in power, termed the allegation of "five star hotels as Part-II" of his attack. He charged the BRS leadership of owning hundreds of acres of lands, bungalows in posh Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad, five star hotels, farmhouses and investments in US and Singapore.

He also challenged Rama Rao for a debate on development during BRS rule and Congress government in the Assembly. Countering Revanth Reddy's allegations, BRS MLA Vemula Prashant Reddy said it was clear from the CM's public meeting that people are not supporting Congress.

He said Revanth Reddy should release a white paper on his properties and sources of income and also that of his brothers.
