Revanth Govt 99 Day Governance Drive to begin across State

The Telangana government will commence its ambitious 99 Day Action Plan titled “Praja Palana… Pragathi Pranalika” across the state from Friday, March 6, with the aim of strengthening governance and taking government services directly to the people.The programme marks the third major public outreach initiative undertaken by the Congress government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy since assuming office. Earlier, the government organised the first phase of Praja Palana village and ward meetings from December 28, 2023 to January 6, 2024. A second round of village and ward meetings was conducted for three days from January 26, 2025 on the occasion of Republic Day.

Through these initiatives, the government directly interacted with citizens, received applications from eligible beneficiaries and assessed issues at the grassroots level. Several welfare programmes were implemented based on applications received during these meetings. These include farm loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa assistance, free bus travel for women under the Mahalakshmi scheme, cooking gas cylinders at Rs 500, 200 units of free electricity under Gruhajyothi, Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak assistance, Indiramma housing, new ration cards, distribution of fine rice and Rs 500 bonus for fine paddy.Under the new 99 Day Action Plan, programmes will be conducted from the village level to the state level with the participation of officials and public representatives. Government offices across the state will also undertake sanitation drives and clear pending files from March 6.

The initiative will continue until June 12 as a prelude to Telangana Formation Day celebrations. Village and ward meetings will be organised along with special programmes at mandal, municipal, constituency and district headquarters, where various departments will set up stalls and exhibitions showcasing government services and welfare schemes.The government will also focus on extending benefits of welfare programmes to all eligible families, issuing ration cards, and providing financial assistance for Indiramma houses to the poor.

The action plan will also emphasise reforms in education, strengthening government schools and hospitals, promoting solar energy usage, organising skill training programmes and job fairs across districts targeting employment for one lakh youth. Women empowerment initiatives under Indira Mahila Shakti will also be highlighted.The 10 week campaign will cover key themes including rural development, health, road safety, welfare, child protection, farmer welfare, education, youth and sports, women empowerment and environmental protection.
