Renova Hospitals organizers ‘Walkathon’ on World Health Day

Metro India News | Hyderabad : Marking World Heart Day, Renova Hospitals, Langar House, organized a three-kilometer walkathon from Bapu Ghat to Dargah on Tuesday to raise awareness about heart health, cardiovascular disease prevention and the importance of timely medical intervention. Doctors, nurses and paramedical staff participated in the walkathon carrying placards highlighting heart disease prevention, healthy lifestyle practices and the importance of regular health check-ups. 

Red balloons were also released to mark the occasion. Janab Syed Fiaz Sahab, ACP, Golkonda Police Station, the Guest of Honour, flagged off the walkathon and released the balloons. He stressed the importance of recognizing warning signs of heart-related problems early and seeking medical attention without delay. 

Dr Mohammed Shoeb Ahmed, Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, Renova Hospitals, Langar House, cautioned people against tobacco use and excessive alcohol consumption and also highlighted the need to regularly monitor and control conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes, which can increase the risk of cardiovascular complications. He also urged people to incorporate daily walking, yoga, regular exercise and healthy lifestyle practices into their routine to support long-term heart health.
