The Telangana State Federation of Chambers of Commerce & Trade (TSFCCT) has welcomed the Union Budget 2025, highlighting its focus on inclusive development, particularly benefiting the poor, women, youth, and farmers. Addressing a press meet in the city on Saturday, TSFCCT President Ammanabolu Prakash and General Secretary C. Nand Kumar appreciated the budget’s approach towards economic growth and relief measures for the middle class.

The Federation expressed satisfaction over the increased Income Tax exemption limit to Rs. 12 lakh, providing significant relief to the salaried middle class. However, they suggested a simplified three-tier tax structure: No tax up to Rs. 10 lakh, 10% for income between Rs. 10-15 lakh, 20% for Rs. 15-20 lakh, and 25% for income above Rs. 20 lakh.

TSFCCT also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to implement key reforms in GST slab simplification, lower tax rates, and easy access to credit facilities through MUDRA, CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) schemes. TSFCCT President Ammanabolu Prakash emphasized the need for lower interest rates on working capital and term loans and an increased collateral-free loan limit to support small traders.

A strong appeal was made to regulate predatory pricing by online platforms, which the Federation believes is severely impacting small traders. Additionally, they requested subsidized health insurance under Ayushman Bharat and government support in ESI and PF contributions for small traders.

Promoting "Vocal for Local", TSFCCT called for incentives for Indian-made goods and benefits for traders adopting digital payments.
