Telangana Guv attends Sri Rama Pattabhishekam at Bhadrachalam

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, and First Lady of Telangana Janaki Shukla, participated in the Sri Rama Samrajya Pattabhishekam at the Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam on Saturday. As part of the celestial coronation of Lord Sri Rama, the Governor offered Pattu Vastralu to the deity, in accordance with temple tradition.

Expressing his spiritual elation, the Governor said he felt deeply blessed to witness the sacred ritual at such a historically and religiously significant shrine. He emphasised the timeless relevance of Lord Sri Rama’s ideals and called upon all to uphold the virtues of righteousness, compassion, and truthfulness exemplified by the Maryada Purushottam.

Earlier in the day, the Governor had darshan of the presiding deities at the Bhadradri temple and offered special prayers.

The temple priests, who performed the Pattabhishekam rituals with elaborate Vedic chanting and ceremonial grandeur, blessed the Governor through ashirvachanam and presented him with prasadam.

Minister for Agriculture Tummala Nageswararao, Special Chief Secretary to Governor M. Danakishore, the Commissioner of Endowments; the District Collector and Superintendent of Police of Bhadradri Kothagudem; and senior temple authorities accompanied the Governor during the visit.  

During the visit, the Governor inaugurated Bhadragiri Mart, established under the aegis of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Officer B. Rahul and Assistant Project Officer (General) David, briefed the Governor on the range of tribal products showcased at the mart. The Governor and his wife inspected the exhibits and purchased several items, underscoring their support for tribal artisans and local enterprise.
