50th quarterly meeting of SLBC held

The State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Telangana, held its 50th Quarterly Review Meeting at Praja Bhavan on Wednesday to assess banking performance for the quarter ended June 2026. Banks reported deposits of Rs 9.93 lakh crore, an increase of Rs 49,522 crore, while advances rose by Rs 42,891 crore to Rs 12.77 lakh crore. The Credit-Deposit ratio stood at 128.58%. During the quarter, banks disbursed Rs 91,374 crore to MSMEs and Rs 1.46 lakh crore under the Priority Sector. Agricultural lending included Rs 20,069 crore in short-term production loans and Rs 32,268 crore in investment credit.

Financial inclusion efforts covered 133.57 lakh PMJDY accounts, while 206.73 lakh customers were enrolled under PMSBY. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu urged banks to align lending with Telangana Rising 2047, emphasizing rural incomes, women’s entrepreneurship and employment. Officials also called for stronger MSME and agricultural credit, improved banking outreach and proactive support for the state’s 2047 growth vision.
