The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team along with Mirchowk Police arrested an accused person, who was found manufacturing duplicate engine oil and distributing to the shops by affixing Castrol Engine Oil labels from his godown situated at Noor Khan Bazar.

Accused person has been identified as Shaik Qayyum (32), resident of Feelkhana in Begum Bazar, Hyderabad.

Police seized 480 litres of duplicate Castrol Engine Active Oil, 180 litres of Yellow colour oil, 340 empty boxes, 340 Castrol active label's stickers, 340 Castrol active caps, 340 Castrol Barcode scanner, Blue drum colour 50 litres and one Iron box, total worth Rs 3 lakh from the accused person. Earlier, accused Shaik Qayyum worked in an automobile shop at Nampally. Five months ago, he rented out a godown at Noor Khan Bazaar and started supplying to the local shops in low rates Rs 220. As the original Castrol Engine Oil rate is high in the market at 425.  

The apprehended accused person and seized material were handed over to SHO, Mirchowk PS, Hyderabad for further investigation.
