26-02-2026 12:00:00 AM

65 Revenue Offices in Phase-I: 60 Tahsildar offices and 5 RDO offices currently functioning in rented buildings will be provided permanent infrastructure in the first phase.

170 Offices in Phase-II: 170 Tahsildar and RDO offices operating from dilapidated or unsuitable buildings across the State will be reconstructed in the second phase.

39 Sub-Registrar Offices in 12 Clusters: Under the Stamps & Registration Department modernization drive, 39 Sub-Registrar offices within the Outer Ring Road limits (covering Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Sangareddy districts) are being reorganized into 12 integrated clusters with state-of-the-art facilities.

The Telangana government has taken a key decision to construct permanent buildings for Tahsildar and Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) offices across the State to ensure more transparent, accessible, and citizen-friendly administration. Revenue, Housing, Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the initiative aims to provide dignified public service infrastructure in line with the vision of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

In the first phase, permanent buildings equipped with modern facilities will be constructed for 60 Tahsildar offices and 5 RDO offices currently functioning in rented premises. In the second phase, 170 Tahsildar and RDO offices that are presently operating from dilapidated or unsuitable buildings will be reconstructed. The Minister stated that all new buildings across the State will follow a uniform design model to ensure accessibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Final designs will be approved after consultations with the Chief Minister.

Reviewing the matter with senior Revenue Department officials at the Secretariat on Wednesday, the Minister directed officials to compile detailed data on offices functioning in rented or unsafe buildings. He emphasized that government offices serving the public must function from dignified and well-equipped premises rather than rented facilities.

The Minister observed that even after the formation of Telangana, several revenue offices continued to function without adequate infrastructure. He criticized the previous government for undertaking mandal reorganization without proper planning, resulting in administrative inconvenience and inadequate facilities. He stated that the present government has strengthened administration by sanctioning required posts in newly formed mandals. In addition, the Minister highlighted modernization efforts in the Stamps & Registration Department. Integrated, state-of-the-art buildings are being constructed for 39 Sub-Registrar offices within the Outer Ring Road limits, covering Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Sangareddy districts. These offices have been grouped into 12 clusters for efficient functioning. Foundation stones have already been laid at Gachibowli, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and Patancheru, with construction at Gachibowli nearing completion.

The Minister stressed on the government’s commitment to modernizing the revenue system and delivering faster, transparent, and citizen-centric services across Telangana.
