PCC Vice President participates in Independence Day celebrations in Sanathnagar

TPCC Vice President and Congress Party In-charge of Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency, Dr. Kota Neelima, participated in the 80th Independence Day celebrations held at various locations across the Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency. Dr. Neelima attended the celebrations organized by JMJ College of Nursing at St. Theresa’s Hospital, as well as programs organized by local Congress leaders in Sanathnagar, Begumpet Division and Bansilalpet Divisions. 

Dr. Kota Neelima paid tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. Independence, she said, was not merely about freedom from British rule, but also about ensuring equal rights, social justice and a dignified life for every citizen. She highlighted various welfare initiatives of the Telangana government, including free bus travel for women, LPG cylinders at Rs 500, free electricity up to 200 units, Rythu Bharosa and the construction of Indiramma houses for the poor.

She also said the government was working towards empowering one crore women to become millionaires and improving their economic and social well-being. She called upon citizens to uphold the unity and integrity of the nation, protect democratic and constitutional values, and contribute to the country’s progress.
