Medicover Hospitals remains fully devoted to serving patients, and the trust they place in the institution is its foremost responsibility, said Mahesh Degloorkar, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Medicover Hospitals India. Addressing allegations of a political link, Mahesh Degloorkar said leaders from different parties and governments have attended Medicover inaugurations in their official capacity. In Telangana, he recalled that the then Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated a Medicover hospital during the BRS government, and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated another under the current Congress government.
He also recalled that Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, state Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, the then Minister T. Harish Rao, former Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy has also attended a Medicover inauguration. In Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and senior leader Sharad Pawar have taken part in Medicover hospital inaugurations, he stated.
Mahesh Degloorkar said reports on certain YouTube channels have been aired without examining patients' clinical condition, the severity of their illness or their complete treatment details, and that this creates misconceptions and fear among the public. He urged that any allegations be examined on the basis of facts and evidence, and appealed to the public not to be misled by unverified campaigns.
