An orientation session titled ‘How to Crack Civil Services in the First Attempt – UPSC Masterclass’ was conducted at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), Gandipet, in collaboration with 21st Century IAS Academy in Hyderabad.

Addressing the students, P Krishna Pradeep, Chairman of 21st Century IAS Academy, shared valuable insights on the UPSC two-year preparation strategy. He emphasized the importance of effective time management and consistent effort throughout the preparation journey.

To provoke ethical and critical thinking among students, Pradeep introduced the ‘Trolley Dilemma’ – a thought experiment where a runaway trolley is heading toward five people tied on a track, but can be diverted to another track where it would hit only one person. Engaging students with this dilemma, he highlighted the importance of making morally sound decisions, encouraging them to base their justifications on ethical principles and deeper reflection.

He also shared the ‘Tri Ratnas of UPSC’, a unique mantra for aspirants which are Samanya – General Studies (GS), Samakalina – Current Affairs (CAs), Sadhana – Consistent practice and dedication.
