One-way traffic at KBR Park from August 18

Hyderabad Traffic Police will introduce a one-way traffic system around KBR Park from August 18, 2026, to ease congestion caused by ongoing flyover and underpass construction under the H-CITI project in and around the KBR Park corridor.

With road space reduced due to construction and traffic volumes remaining high, two-way movement on the available carriageway is expected to cause delays and congestion. The new arrangement follows two pilot trials conducted on April 5 and June 21, during which traffic flow, junction performance and congestion points were assessed. The Traffic Police said lane markings, directional signages and round-the-clock deployment of personnel would be put in place.

Traffic movement will also be monitored through CCTV, the Integrated Command and Control Centre and drones, with necessary changes made based on real-time conditions. Commuters have been urged to strictly follow the revised traffic directions, lane markings and police instructions.  Motorists have also been warned against wrong-side driving and illegal parking, while emergency vehicles will be given unobstructed passage through Lane II. The Traffic Police appealed to citizens to rely only on official advisories and updated navigation routes during the transition.
