Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has firmly refuted the reports alleging that a woman devotee was bitten by a snake in the darshan queue line at Tirumala Temple.

According to officials, a couple,  Sarath Babu and  Mounika, hailing from Warangal district of Telangana, arrived at Tirumala on Sunday night for the darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy. Upon reaching the R.B. Centre parking area near the SV Museum by taxi,  Mounika stepped aside into a nearby dark area to apply turmeric to her feet. During this time, she felt a sudden touch on her leg and panicked. Her husband,  Sarath Babu, inspected the area and noticed a small snake. Immediately, the security personnel were alerted.

The Security promptly shifted the devotee to Aswini Hospital at Tirumala. After a thorough medical examination, doctors confirmed that there was no sign of snake bite.

This morning, the couple safely had the darshan of Sri Venkateswara. The TTD appealed to devotees to strictly follow designated routes and avoid restricted forest areas to ensure safety.
