MLRITM hosts ‘India–Japan Innovation Regional Hackathon’

Metro India News | Hyderabad : Marri Laxman Reddy Institute of Technology and Management (MLRITM), Dundigal, hosted the India–Japan Innovation Regional Hackathon 2026, bringing together student innovators, technology enthusiasts, academic experts, industry professionals and representatives from the innovation ecosystem on a common platform to promote creativity, problem-solving and technology-driven innovation. The event focused on emerging areas including Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), Semiconductor Technology, Smart Mobility and Industry 4.0.

The event featured an eminent panel of guests from industry, technology, finance, Japan–India business relations and the innovation ecosystem, including Hiroshi Furuta, CMD, Toshiba I&D (India) Pvt. Ltd and Bala Prasad Peddigari, TCS CIO & IEEE Hyderabad Vice Chair and FTCCI. Chairman Marri Laxman Reddy along with Founder Secretary and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajashekhar Reddy extended their support and encouragement towards initiatives that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, research and international collaboration.

The program was conducted under the leadership of Director Dr. P. Sridhar who emphasized the importance of providing students with opportunities to engage with industry professionals and international innovation networks. Principal R Murali Prasad congratulated the participating students, faculty coordinators, organizers Dr SP Jhony and partners and appreciated their efforts in creating a platform that enables students to showcase their creativity, technical skills and problem-solving abilities.
