MLA assures support to deaf community

Metro India News | NIZAMABAD : Nizamabad Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta said he would always stand by the deaf community in the district and extend his support to them. An International Day of Sign Languages program was organised by the Deaf Employees Association at New Ambedkar Bhavan in the city on Tuesday. The MLA Gupta said people with hearing impairments possess considerable intellectual abilities. He praised their efforts to compete with others and make progress in today’s competitive world.

The MLA said it was a matter of happiness and pride that several members of the deaf community had overcome challenges and established themselves in government jobs. He encouraged them not to be discouraged by their disability and to continue focusing on their work, saying dedication and perseverance would lead to success. Deaf Employees Association president Uday Kumar, general secretary Mahesh, 19th Division corporator Nagolla Lakshminarayana, Jyothi Murali and others attended the program.
