Senior Congress leader T. Jeevan Reddy is reportedly considering resigning from the party, prompting top leaders to meet him at his Jagtial residence on Saturday. Ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Adluri Laxman Kumar, acting on instructions from TPCC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, were joined by Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam and other party members for the discussions.

The meeting, which lasted over an hour, focused on persuading Jeevan Reddy to reconsider his decision. The Ministers highlighted the importance of his decades-long experience and contributions, urging him to continue playing a key role in the party’s future. They also discussed local political challenges and assured him of an active and influential position through consultations with the party high command.

Despite these efforts, Jeevan Reddy indicated that his decision to resign remains firm. Sources say he plans to provide detailed clarification on his position on Sunday.

The discussions reflect the party’s concern over losing a veteran leader with over forty years of association. Political observers say Jeevan Reddy’s next move could influence Congress dynamics in Telangana, especially ahead of upcoming local elections. The situation remains closely watched by party circles and the state political establishment.
