MDMA racket busted, 4 held in Hyd

In a major crackdown on drug peddling, the Commissioner’s Task Force (Jubilee Hills Zone) along with Sanathnagar Police apprehended four individuals, including two juveniles, for possessing and distributing MDMA in the city.

The accused were caught with 60 grams of MDMA, valued at approximately ₹6 lakh, which they allegedly intended to supply to customers in Hyderabad. The arrested individuals include: Songapu Hemanth (23), a student and resident of IDPL, identified as a consumer and Mukkagalla Nagendra (21), a resident of Chintal, also a consumer Police also named two absconding suspects; Sai Nikhil Yadav and Aditya.

According to police, the accused were habitual users of alcohol, ganja, and MDMA. One of the juveniles had established contact with the absconding suppliers, from whom he procured the drug at a lower price. The contraband was then sold to known customers at higher rates for profit.

Two days prior to the arrest, the accused allegedly purchased 60 grams of MDMA from the absconding individuals with the intent to distribute it in the city.

Police seized the entire quantity of MDMA from their possession. The apprehended individuals, along with the seized material, have been handed over to Sanathnagar Police Station for further investigation and legal action.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Inspector Ch. Yadender of the Jubilee Hills Task Force, along with SI D. Ravi Raj and their team, in coordination with Sanathnagar Police.
