Under the initiative titled “Mana Illu - Mana Lokesh”, the distribution of house titles will commence on April 3, ensuring hundreds of families gaining permanent ownership rights. It may be noted that during the election campaign, Lokesh had vowed that if elected with a significant mandate, he would legalize settlements on government land and provide ownership to residents.
For years, residents of Mangalagiri living on government lands have been demanding legal recognition of their homes. Over the past ten months, extensive surveys have been conducted, and applications have been collected directly from beneficiaries’ homes to ensure a smooth and hassle-free process.
Even complex land issues involving forest and railway properties have been meticulously addressed. As a result, the first phase of the initiative will witness the distribution of 3,000 house titles, setting the stage for a landmark moment in social empowerment.
The first title deed will be handed over in Undavalli village on April 3, where Lokesh will personally visit beneficiaries' homes. A formal event will be held from April 4 at Don Bosco School Grounds, where large-scale title distribution will take place.
