Mandamarri area achieves 106% coal production target in July

The Mandamarri Area of Singareni Collieries achieved 106% of its coal production target and 105% of its overburden (OB) removal target during July 2026, General Manager N. Radhakrishna announced at a press conference held at the Mandamarri Area General Manager's office. Presenting the production, productivity, and employee welfare performance for July 2026, the General Manager said the area had surpassed its coal production target while also exceeding the planned overburden removal, reflecting the collective efforts of employees and management.

Radhakrishna stated that both the KK-05 underground mine and the KKOC opencast mine achieved 100% of their production targets during the month. He congratulated all employees, supervisors, and officers for their contribution to the achievement. He, however, noted that absenteeism among employees in underground mines had affected production to some extent. To address the issue, the management is coordinating closely with trade union leaders to improve attendance and operational efficiency.

He urged employees and officials to work together to achieve 100% production in underground mines while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Highlighting employee welfare initiatives, the General Manager said monthly review meetings are being conducted with welfare officers and personnel officials to promptly resolve issues related to the Coal Mines Provident Fund (CMPF), pensions, the Coal Mines Pensioner Retired Medical Scheme (CPRMS), canteen facilities, and other employee welfare matters. He added that special meetings with finance department officials had helped clear several long-pending files.

Radhakrishna also praised the workshop staff for their swift response in restoring electricity to residential colonies after strong winds recently disrupted power supply during the night. In response to the heavy rains over the past few days, he said rehabilitation centres had been established in Ramakrishnapur (RKP) to assist families whose houses suffered damage, including collapsed walls and roofs.

The General Manager further announced plans to undertake large-scale plantation drives along both sides of the road leading to the Kasipet mines in the Mandamarri Area by utilizing available vacant land. Among those present at the press conference were Area Engineer (E&M) Balaji Bhagwati Jha, Deputy General Manager (Personnel) Ashok, Deputy General Manager (IED) Kiran Kumar, Senior Personnel Officer Satyanarayana, and other officials.
