Andhra Pradesh IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on YSRCP Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of “Credit Theft (chori) Disorder (CCD).” Escalating the political rhetoric, Lokesh released a video on the social media platform X, which quickly went viral and triggered a fresh round of confrontation between the ruling TDP and the YSRCP.
The video opens with a satirical framing of symptoms of what Lokesh described as CCD, before moving into a compilation of archival clips. These clips show Jagan Mohan Reddy, during his tenure as opposition leader, strongly criticising a series of high-profile infrastructure and industrial projects initiated under the previous TDP government.
Among the projects featured in the video are the proposed Google Data Centre, Adani Data Centre, ArcelorMittal investments, Kia Motors manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh, Bhogapuram International Airport, and the Bulk Drug Park. The footage shows Jagan’s earlier criticisms with subsequent instances where he claimed credit for the same projects after assuming office as Chief Minister.
In a pointed narrative, the video accuses the YSRCP chief of systematically opposing development initiatives while in opposition, only to later appropriate them politically once they materialised. Adding a layer of ridicule, the video intermittently features a cartoon segment titled “Jagan… Nava Chorilu,” portraying alleged instances of repeated credit appropriation.
