Lebanese turtle conservationist dies of wounds

Lebanese turtle conservationist Mona Khalil, renowned for her decades-long efforts to protect endangered sea turtles and marine habitats, died on Saturday of injuries sustained in an Israeli airstrike. Khalil was seriously injured when her home in Mansouri, southern Lebanon, was struck on June 4. Her assistant was also injured.
