BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, questioning the heavy police deployment during the Chief Minister’s recent visit to Sircilla. “Revanth Reddy calls himself the ‘Nallamala Tiger’. Would a Nallamala Tiger go to Sircilla with 4,000 policemen?” KTR asked. He alleged that there were hardly any people visible around the Chief Minister during the visit, while BRS leaders were allegedly arrested in advance and shops were shut down.

Speaking about his own business background, KTR said his father had encouraged him from a young age to pursue education. He said he studied and worked in the United States for six years before using his earnings to start a hotel business in 2006.KTR said he had started the hotel during the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy government and had disclosed details of his assets and business interests in his 2009 election affidavit. He also said he was happy that Revanth Reddy had given his hotels “free publicity.”

He accused his political opponents of presenting information already disclosed in his affidavit as if it were a newly discovered fact. Several Congress and BJP leaders and workers from the Armoor constituency joined the BRS at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday in the presence of KTR. He welcomed them into the party by draping them with BRS scarves.

KTR claimed that farmers from Adilabad to Alampur were suffering under the present government. He alleged that farmers were complaining about inadequate power supply, delays in the Rythu Bandhu scheme and shortages of urea. He urged people to stand with the BRS and continue their campaign against the government. KTR also questioned the government’s investigations into the Kaleshwaram project, power purchases and the Formula-E case, as well as inquiries into bank-account-related matters. He asked what conclusions had been reached in these cases.

KTR questions Govt’s response to weaver suicides

KTR criticized Revanth Reddy’s Sircilla visit, alleging that the Chief Minister failed to address the problems faced by handloom workers. He claimed that several handloom workers in Sircilla had died by suicide since the Congress government came to power. KTR questioned the status of orders for Bathukamma sarees and school uniforms and asked what had happened to the insurance scheme for weavers.

Jeevan Reddy attacks Congress government

BRS Nizamabad district president and former Armoor MLA Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy also criticized the Congress government and praised KCR and KTR.“KCR is the Father of Telangana and KTR is the Future of Telangana,” Jeevan Reddy said. He added, “KTR’s brand is IT, while Revanth’s brand is loot,” making an allegation of corruption against the Chief Minister. Jeevan Reddy attributed the alleged suicides of handloom workers to economic difficulties and what he described as the suspension of welfare programs for weavers. These claims were not independently established in the remarks.
