Kangana clarifies ‘generation gutter’ remark

Actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday clarified that her controversial “generation gutter” remark was directed at youngsters using abusive language during recent protests, not an entire generation.

Sharing a video on Instagram, Kangana said her statement had been taken out of context. “Hum iss tarah ka behaviour accept nahi karte hain aur usko normalise nahi hone denge (We don’t accept this kind of behaviour and won’t normalise it),” she said.

She also stressed the need for discipline and respectful public discourse, adding, “Ye ek basic civic sense hai aur agar aapko nahi aati hai toh seekhna padega (This is basic civic sense, and if you don’t have it, you need to learn it).”
