Andhra Pradesh has secured another major educational investment with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Council and Mysuru-based JSS Mahavidyapeetha for establishing the JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER) Off-Campus Centre in Tirupati. The agreement was signed in the presence of Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
JSS AHER, a NAAC A++ accredited deemed university headquartered in Mysuru, is among India’s premier higher education institutions. Ranked 21st among universities and 38th overall in the NIRF 2025 rankings, the institution has a legacy of over 70 years and manages more than 300 educational institutions in India and abroad.
The proposed Tirupati campus will feature five multidisciplinary schools covering Advanced Engineering and Technology, Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Healthcare and Allied Sciences, Management and Entrepreneurship, and Law, Humanities, Policy and Governance. A total of 74 academic programmes will be offered, with the campus expected to accommodate more than 10,000 students once fully operational.
