Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Monday reviewed preparations for the State-level Independence Day celebrations to be held on August 15 at the historic Rani Mahal Lawns, Golconda Fort, and directed officials to ensure meticulous planning and seamless coordination. Chairing a high-level meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat, Jaju said Independence Day is one of the State's most significant official events and should be conducted with dignity and flawless execution.

He said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will begin the day's programme by paying floral tributes to martyrs at the Veerula Sainik Smarak at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad, before proceeding to Golconda Fort to unfurl the National Flag, inspect the ceremonial parade and address the gathering. The Chief Secretary instructed all departments to make comprehensive arrangements covering security, traffic management, venue readiness, public convenience and emergency response. The Roads & Buildings Department was asked to complete all infrastructure works, including the stage, seating, barricading, approach roads and other civil works within the stipulated time. Police were directed to ensure comprehensive security and smooth movement of dignitaries and participants.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was tasked with sanitation, landscaping, beautification and maintaining cleanliness at and around the venue. The Health Department was instructed to deploy medical teams, ambulances and first-aid facilities, while the Fire Services Department was asked to station fire tenders and emergency response teams as a precaution. The Energy Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply with adequate backup. Stressing inter-departmental coordination, Jaju asked all departments to complete assigned works well in advance to ensure the celebrations are held in a grand and befitting manner.
