Metro India News | Hyderabad : IFFCO(Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited) organized the Cooperators and Farmers Conference on ‘Nano Fertilizers for Sustainable Agriculture’ at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Hyderabad, bringing together around 800 farmers, representatives of cooperative societies, government officials, scientists and representatives of agricultural institutions from across Telangana.
The conference focused on balanced fertilizer use, Nano Fertilizers, Integrated Nutrient Management (INM), efficient nutrient management, sustainable agriculture and strengthening the cooperative network to support farmers. A felicitation was held for the Chief Guest Dileep Sanghani, Chairman, IFFCO, in recognition of his recent election as an At-Large Director of the Global Board of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA), Panama.
He emphasized the importance of adopting scientific farming practices and improving crop productivity while ensuring efficient management of agricultural input costs. B. Gopi, Director of Agriculture, Government of Telangana, stressed the importance of balanced fertilizer application and soil health. Dr. Yogendra Kumar, Marketing Director, IFFCO, said that IFFCO was providing fertilizers, Nano Fertilizers and other agricultural inputs while also conducting awareness and field-level programs aimed at improving farm productivity and supporting farmers.
Scientists and representatives of Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University explained the importance of taking scientific research and modern agricultural technologies to farmers. Kuppa Shankar, IFFCO Telangana, encouraged farmers to actively participate in programs such as Rythu Nestham and said IFFCO would continue to expand awareness on Nano Fertilizers, Integrated Nutrient Management and sustainable farming.
