ICRISAT Director General stresses importance of food security

Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Director General of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics(ICRISAT), on Saturday, stressed on the importance of food security, agricultural research, technology integration and sustainability.  He was the Chief Guest for the 3rd convocation ceremony of the School Of Agriculture Sciences (SOAS), Malla Reddy University. Founder Chairman Ch. Mallareddy who was the Guest of Honor addressed the graduated students and highlighted the development of agricultural education quality at SOAS, MRU and how it got the ICAR accreditation.

Dean of SOAS Dr. A Raja Reddy thanked all the stakeholders in the improvement of agricultural education at SOAS, Malla Reddy University. He reminded the students about the stage at which they had joined as students and how they are now going out after transforming into experts in agriculture. Vice Chancellor Dr. V.S.K Reddy congratulated the graduate students and wished them good luck
