Hyderabad: Vista Imaging and Medical Centre has launched the uCT 960+, an advanced AI-powered 640-slice CT scanner, at its diagnostic centre in the city, marking a major step in strengthening diagnostic imaging facilities in India. The system is considered one of the most advanced CT imaging technologies available globally.

The scanner was inaugurated by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka in the presence of Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and senior doctors at an event held in Hyderabad on Monday.

The installation was made possible through a collaboration between Medikabazaar and United Imaging Healthcare.

The uCT 960+ combines ultra-wide detector coverage, high-speed scanning and AI-powered reconstruction to provide highly precise diagnostic images while reducing radiation exposure. Its 640-slice capability allows clinicians to capture the entire heart in a single rotation and perform ultra-fast whole-body scans, helping doctors diagnose cardiac, neurological, oncology and trauma-related conditions more accurately.
