Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer was briefly hospitalised early Saturday after experiencing acute abdominal pain, before being discharged following treatment.

Lok Bhavan sources said the Governor had returned to Vijayawada around 2:00 a.m. after an official visit to Bengaluru. At about 4:30 a.m., he developed severe stomach discomfort and was immediately rushed to Manipal Hospital. Doctors attended to him and conducted preliminary examinations, indicating that travel fatigue, delayed flight schedules, and lack of rest may have triggered the episode.

Officials confirmed that his condition remained stable throughout and responded well to treatment. After a few hours of medical observation, the Governor was discharged and returned to Lok Bhavan, easing concerns within administrative circles.

Later in the day, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met the Governor at Lok Bhavan in a courtesy visit. The Chief Minister enquired about his health condition and wished him a speedy recovery. He expressed hope that the Governor would soon resume his official duties in full capacity.

Authorities clarified that the meeting was purely a courtesy call following the Governor’s brief hospitalisation. With his health now stable, officials indicated that he is expected to return to routine engagements shortly.
