GM Conducts Comprehensive Inspection of CRS Tirupati

Sanjay Kumar Srivastava, General Manager of South Central Railway, undertook a detailed inspection of the Carriage Repair Shop (CRS), Tirupati, on March 2, 2026. He was accompanied by S. Srinivas, Chief Workshop Manager, CRS/Tirupati, U. Sudhakar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Guntakal Division, along with other officials.

During the inspection, the General Manager reviewed the functioning of the Carriage Repair Workshop and examined the operations of the CBR Shop, including inspection of Vande Bharat Express coaches and conventional AC coaches. He conducted a thorough review of various sections of the workshop such as the CF Shop, Bogie Section, Wheel Press Machine, and AJTB Machine. He also inspected coaches in the Outgoing Shop and the Bio-Toilets overhauling section.

The General Manager assessed the safety equipment available at the workshop and interacted with staff to understand the safety measures being followed during duty. Workshop officials presented the master plan and outlined future expansion proposals. A PowerPoint presentation was also delivered, highlighting the performance and progress of the workshop, followed by discussions on further action plans.

Later, the General Manager met Trade Union representatives and received their representations. He appreciated the officials and staff for their commendable efforts in improving productivity, quality standards, housekeeping, and adopting technological upgradation initiatives aimed at enhancing passenger safety.
