Tour of the constituency with the Amberpet MLA

A joint work will be undertaken by both the departments to permanently resolve the sewage problems in the Amberpet assembly constituency. The residents of the constituency Amberpet , Patel Nagar , and Golnaka areas in the Nala Parivahaka area are facing many problems during the rainy season. In this context, Jala Mandali MD Ashok Reddy , GHMC Commissioner Karnan , and local MLA Kaleru Venkatesh jointly conducted a joint inspection.

Due to road expansion and drain expansion works undertaken by the GHMC project department in this area, the sewage problem has worsened as the GHMC has damaged small rainwater drains and watershed-related sewerage lines in nearby areas.

First, the officials reviewed the feasibility of reconstructing the storm water drain in the Kings Hotel and Amberpet areas , and the condition of the storm water drain from Osmania University to Patel Nagar Nala.

On this occasion , the Honorable MLA estimated that the problem would be solved to some extent if a new storm water drain was constructed through the Police Grounds. He also requested the Jalmandali MD to construct a trunk sewer pipe in parallel with this. In this context , MD Ashok Reddy instructed the Jalmandali officials to complete the construction of the Jalmandali sewerage lines in parallel with the Nala expansion works. He also advised that care should be taken during the construction to match the level of the sewerage lines according to the sewerage flow.

The Interception & Diversion (ID) system in the area was inspected. It was found that the sewage flows are properly connected to the STP. Officials said that the performance of this system is satisfactory. He also reviewed the drainage and works in the areas surrounding the Moosarambagh flyover with the Commissioner .

Later, he instructed the officials of both the departments to inspect the drain at D-Mart and prepare a master plan for a full-fledged sewerage system without diverting sewage into the drains in the future.
