The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will organise a special grievance redressal drive titled “Property Tax Parishkaram” (PTP) on all Sundays in March 2026 to address property tax-related complaints in a time-bound manner.
As per a circular issued by the Commissioner, the programme will be conducted on March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at all circle offices across the city. Senior officials, including Deputy Commissioners, Valuation Officers, Assistant Municipal Commissioners and Tax Inspectors, will be present to directly receive representations and resolve grievances on the spot.
The initiative is aimed at speeding up the disposal of revision petitions, correction of property tax assessments, updating of payments made through bill collectors, RTGS and online transactions, rectification of arrears, and resolution of IGRS and self-assessment issues. Cases pending in courts will also be reviewed for settlement in accordance with rules and court directions.
To facilitate smooth processing, three dedicated counters equipped with computers, internet connectivity and printers will be set up at each centre. A separate reception counter will guide taxpayers, provide necessary forms and streamline submissions. Officials have been instructed to strictly adhere to timelines, and daily progress reports will be submitted to the Revenue Wing through a centralised monitoring system. Delays may invite disciplinary action.
Commissioner R.V. Karnan urged citizens to pay their property taxes promptly and support city development. He also highlighted the Government’s One Time Settlement scheme for 2025–26, which offers a 90 percent waiver on accumulated interest on old arrears, and appealed to taxpayers to utilise the benefit at the earliest.
