The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has stepped up action against unauthorized constructions, with officials taking action on an illegal layout in Gandhamguda under Rajendranagar Circle-19 on Thursday. Acting on complaints from local residents and following directions from senior officials, GHMC staff reached the site and demolished a building that was allegedly being constructed without the required permissions. Officials warned that strict action would be taken against those developing layouts without the necessary approvals.

GHMC warns public against middlemen

GHMC officials urged residents not to trust brokers or intermediaries who claim that they can secure building permissions by “speaking to officials” or getting applications processed. The officials said the corporation would not tolerate such intermediary practices and advised citizens to deal directly with the official system for obtaining approvals.

Build only after obtaining permissions

Officials advised people planning to construct houses or other buildings to use official online services such as “Build Now” and obtain the necessary permissions in accordance with GHMC regulations. The civic body further cautioned people against purchasing plots in unauthorized layouts, warning that such purchases could result in financial losses. Citizens were advised to buy plots only in layouts that have obtained the required legal approvals.
