Malkajgiri BJP MP Etela Rajender has given a call to get rid of the burden of high costs of medicines by utilizing the services of Aushadhi stalls launched by the Central government. "Some pharmaceutical companies and private traders are spreading false propaganda that quality medicines are not available in Janaushadhi centre, all of which are untrue,” he claimed. He said the medicines were  procured by the State government itself and supplied to the people at a lower price through the Jan Aushadhi Kendras,” he said.

Etela participated in a walk organised at Neredmet Crossroads in Medchal Malkajgiri district on the occasion of 'Jan Aushadhi Diwas-2025'. Speaking on the occasion, he said PM Modi had come up with schemes for the poor because he knows poverty. "Modi's role in designing and implementing many programmes for the poor in these 11 years as a person, who knows the hardships of the poor, is beyond words and the jan aushadhi kendras have come as a part of it,” he said.

Etela also said he had requested the Centre to revive the IDPL company if quality medicines were to be made available in South India. "I am a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chemicals, Fertilizers & Pharmaceuticals and took 30 MPs to the closed IDPL company and explained,” he said.
