Andhra Pradesh Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar has directed officials to expedite the completion of power substations under construction across the state, stressing that the projects are vital for improving electricity reliability and addressing low-voltage and power interruption issues. The directions were issued during a review meeting with Energy Department officials at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

The Minister said the newly constructed substations would significantly strengthen the power distribution network and help ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers. He instructed officials to make alternative arrangements for power restoration whenever outages occur and to improve the overall resilience of the power infrastructure.

As part of the government’s long-term strategy, Ravi Kumar revealed plans to introduce underground power cabling systems for critical and emergency service sectors. The initiative is aimed at minimizing disruptions and ensuring continuous electricity supply to essential institutions.
