Sankalp 11.0 draws 17,230 registrations

Metro India News | Hyderabad : The 11th edition of the National Business Fest, Sankalp 11.0, was held at ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (ICAR-NAARM), Hyderabad, on September 18-19, attracting 17,230 registrations from 1,515 institutions across the country for 10 business challenges. A total of 52 finalists competed in the final rounds at the campus. Students from premier institutions, including IIMs, NITs and MANAGE, won cash awards in various competitions, highlighting the event’s national reach and competitive spirit.

Dr S. Kannappan, Senior Executive Director, National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad, who was the chief guest, highlighted emerging opportunities in fisheries and aquaculture. He urged students to explore sustainability and entrepreneurship opportunities in the sector.

Guest of Honour Apparao Veldi, HR Business Partner, Advanta Enterprises Ltd, stressed the importance of adaptability, continuous learning and human capital development. He said youth would play a key role in shaping the future of agriculture and allied sectors.

M. Venkata Ramana, Director, MSR Aqua Pvt Ltd, shared insights into entrepreneurship and technological advancement in aquaculture, while Kalyan Chakravarty, Chairman, Rama Biomarine and Hatcheries, emphasised innovation and sustainable practices.

Dr R.M. Sundaram, Director, NAARM, underlined the importance of innovation, leadership and industry-academia collaboration in preparing young professionals for the changing agricultural sector. Dr Gopal Lal, Joint Director, NAARM, highlighted experiential learning, practical knowledge and entrepreneurship in developing future-ready agribusiness professionals.
