Richa Chadha says her academic roots inspired her to produce her next

Actor-producer Richa Chadha is set to bring a fresh perspective to Indian non-fiction storytelling with Musafiri, an upcoming series under her banner, Pushing Buttons Studios. Inspired by her academic background in history and her long-standing interest in India’s culture and heritage.

Musafiri will take audiences across historically significant locations, bringing together immersive storytelling, local voices, and cinematic visuals to offer a fresh way of experiencing India’s rich heritage. 

Richa said, “History was one of my favourite subjects growing up because it always felt like a way of understanding people, societies, and how we arrived at where we are today. Over the years, that curiosity only grew stronger through travel, conversations, and reading. Musafiri comes from that personal interest. I wanted to create something that doesn’t just showcase beautiful monuments or landscapes, but also the stories and memories.”
