Secunderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone, in coordination with Market Police, Malkajgiri, arrested a woman and her husband for targeting hospital patients and stealing their gold ornaments. The couple allegedly posed as medical professionals, using a sedative injection to make victims unconscious before robbing them.

The main accused, Goundla Shirisha, 25, a Pharm.D student from Nawabpet Mandal, Vikarabad District, along with her husband Edulapally Sai Kumar Goud, 30, a local businessman, reportedly turned to theft due to financial difficulties. Shirisha used her medical knowledge to obtain a Diazepam injection, which she concealed in her doctor’s apron to avoid suspicion.
