A state-of-the-art centralized community kitchen will be inaugurated at the Agricultural Market Yard in Manthani, Peddapalli district, on August 24. The facility is aimed at providing nutritious, hygienically prepared meals to more than 40,000 government school students across Peddapalli and Bhupalapalli districts. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, Electronics & Communications, Industries & Commerce, and Legislative Affairs, as the Chief Guest.
His Grace Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji, President of the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) and Regional President of the Akshaya Patra Foundation – Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, will be representing HKMCF at the event. The kitchen will benefit approximately 40,052 government school students, covering 694 government schools and 17 junior colleges.
The kitchen is equipped with advanced automated machinery capable of preparing large quantities of food efficiently. Several additional facilities have been incorporated to ensure efficient and hygienic food preparation. These include automatic vegetable washing and cutting units, a milk processing unit, an RO water plant, a boiler plant, a central gas bank and an Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). The weekly menu has been designed with guidance from the National Institute of Nutrition, with an emphasis on nutritious and balanced meals. The establishment of the centralized kitchen was supported by Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds.
