Collector reviews paddy procurement, storage and transportation

District Collector Kumar Deepak visited several rice mills and godowns in the district on Wednesday to review paddy procurement, storage and transportation arrangements. The Collector inspected the rice mill at Ramaraopet in Jaipur mandal, the godown at Sarvaipet in Kotapalli mandal and the godowns at Vemanapalli mandal headquarters. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Kumar Deepak directed officials to ensure there are no lapses in paddy procurement.

He instructed that paddy procured at collection centers should be promptly shifted to the designated rice mills and godowns as per the allocation. He asked rice mill operators to expedite the unloading of paddy arriving from procurement centers and increase the number of hamali (labour) workers as required. The Collector urged millers to achieve their assigned targets quickly by maintaining close coordination with officials. He also instructed lorry owners to strictly follow norms during paddy transportation.

Godown authorities were directed to store the received paddy as per guidelines and transport it further as per subsequent orders. The Collector emphasized that all officials should work in coordination to ensure the paddy procurement process is carried out successfully across the district.
