Collector inspects rice mill, calls for reducing pendency

District Collector Ashish Sangwan visited Shakambari Rice Mill in Jangampalli village of Bhiknoor mandal on Wednesday and inspected ongoing paddy procurement and unloading operations. During the visit, the Collector directed officials to reduce pending cases at Paddy Procurement Centres (PPCs) and ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience. He emphasized the need to expedite the unloading process and complete vehicle clearances quickly, keeping in view the current peak procurement season and the possibility of rainfall.

The miller expressed satisfaction over receiving approximately 85% of the boiled rice allocation from the Head Office in advance. Collector Ashish Sangwan assured full support from the administration in enhancing unloading capacity and speeding up vehicle clearance. Additional Collector Victor, District Civil Supplies Officer Venkateshwarlu, Civil Supplies DM Srikant, Tahsildar, DTCS and other officials accompanied the Collector during the inspection.
