District Collector Kumar Deepak conducted surprise inspections of government schools and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Jannaram and Dandepalli mandals on Wednesday to review the quality of education, healthcare services, and implementation of government programs.
The Collector visited the Zilla Parishad English Medium Primary School at Akkapalliguda in Jannaram mandal. He inspected classroom teaching, school records, the kitchen and campus cleanliness. The Collector directed officials to ensure that students receive nutritious mid-day meals on time in accordance with the prescribed menu.
He also visited the Bhavita Resource Centre and the Mandal Parishad English Medium Primary School at Ponakal, where he instructed officials to take steps to increase student enrolment. At the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), the Collector reviewed the construction of additional classrooms, toilets, and the dining hall, directing officials to complete the works at the earliest.
Inspecting the Primary Health Centre at Jannaram, the Collector examined the outpatient (OP) register, hospital wards, medicine stocks and overall sanitation. The Collector also visited the Tahsildar's office, where he reviewed the implementation of the Bhu Bharati program, the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls and the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
