Collector Rahul Sharma on Thursday emphasized the need for government teachers to pay focus on improving the enrolment in government schools. He paid a surprise visit to Zilla Parishad Primary and High Schools in Challagarika village of Chityala mandal. The Collector inspected the classrooms and dining hall for mid-day meals thoroughly. Later on he interacted with the students and asked them how they spent their summer vacation. He advised the students to attend the school without fail.

The Collector expressed dissatisfaction that though the amenities were good in the school, the enrolment was low. He advised the teachers to take adequate steps so that the enrolment increases in coming days. The collector also had lunch along with the students. He urged the students to study well and reach great heights in their life and also to show interest in sports and other extra curricular activities apart from studies. He also instructed that library books be made available to inculcate the habit of book reading among students.
