Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday extended greetings on the occasion of Somnath Amrut Mahotsav and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promoting development alongside preservation of India's cultural heritage. Today, PM Modi visited the Somnath temple in Gujarat and participated in the Somnath Amrut Mahotsav celebrations marking 75 years since the rebuilt shrine opened to devotees, highlighting its enduring civilisational and spiritual significance.

"Ours is a land where faith is respected and serves as a force that unites everyone. Somnath temple is more than a place of worship, it stands as an enduring symbol of India's civilisational spirit," Naidu said in a post on X replying to PM Modi. The Chief Minister said Somnath temple is not merely a place of worship but an enduring symbol of India's civilization spirit, reflecting the sacrifice and devotion of those who defended and rebuilt it through history.

Under the leadership of PM Modi, the NDA government has embraced the spirit of "Vikas Bhi, Virasat Bhi" (Development along with Heritage), ensuring India's development progresses alongside the preservation and rejuvenation of its cultural and spiritual heritage, said Naidu. He noted that the vision honours those who contributed equally towards the country's development and the protection of its rich traditions and spiritual legacy.

The Chief Minister further extended his greetings and best wishes to devotees across the world on the occasion of Somnath Amrut Mahotsav. Meanwhile, PM Modi said Somnath stands tall as a symbol of India's civilisational courage and unbroken devotion despite repeated attacks throughout history.
